Telomerase Therapy For Anti Aging

Telomere is the protector of the ends of the chromosomes. Chromosome cells, which are the holders of the genetic information about the person, split as the person grows older in order to preserve the information. Telomere ensures that much information is not lost while splitting. The telomere shortens a little at every split. In the long run, that causes the loss of some telomeres and subsequent death of the cells.

Many researchers are of the opinion that the deterioration of telomeres is root cause of aging. It is believed that if shortening of telomere can be stopped, the whole aging process can be done away with. Research on this matter is still in the nascent state. Dr Michael Fossel, of Michigan State University believes that once a telomerase therapy is found aging is under the control of the human being!

The human race can wait and see.
