The Reasons for Aging

Every living organism undergoes a process where it is growing and developing. This process is known as aging and ends with death. This also occurs in humans. Although aging is inevitable, you can take some measures to slow this process down thus remain young longer. But before knowing how to do so, you need to know the reasons for aging.

As mentioned, organisms undergo growth and development. For this they will need to take in the necessary nutrients, process them and finally remove them from their systems. These processes involve complex activities which involve all of the body’s organs and systems.

Feeding and breathing are some of the processes which aid in growth and development. However, these are also ways through which toxins enter the body.

The processing of food for the production of energy and for growth and development also produces some wastes which need to be removed from the body. With time, the body’s system of waste removal cannot remove the wastes as fast as it should. This leads to waste accumulation in the body resulting in fast aging of cells.

Another product of the food processing in the body are molecules called free radicals. These are responsible for the wearing out and fast death of body cells.

Therefore, the reasons for aging can be summarized to the different processes that the body needs to keep it alive. These processes help to keep the body going but in the same time leave dangerous wastes in the body. But that doesn’t mean that you should stop eating or breathing.

You can slow down the aging process by simply considering what goes into your body. This applies especially to what you eat or drink. Eat healthy foods which have been proven to leave little or no wastes or toxins in the body and you will remain young longer.
