Why Premature Aging Is On the Rise

Have you ever found two people you might have presumed to be siblings when the truth is they are parent and child? It is a common occurrence today that young people are getting older faster than before. There are many factors which are causing this and some include the following.

A change in diets has contributed a large part in premature aging. Young people are eating more and more fast foods compared to ten or five years ago. Fast foods are the number one contributor to obesity and its health problems. Also, junk foods are laden with toxins which accelerate the aging process.

Changes in lifestyles are another factor which is contributing to premature aging. The primary aim for many people today is to get material wealth that simple things like happiness and exercise are bypassed. Everyone is busy and if they aren’t at work, they are busy doing something else. These lifestyles are characterized by some of the main causes of aging, stress, lack of enough rest, poor eating habits and alcoholism and cigarette smoking.

The change in lifestyles has created a generation that is usually sick and aging quite fast.

Global warming is a concern today. One of the features of global warming is the depletion of the ozone layer. This has resulted in the penetration of harmful ultraviolet sun rays to the surface of the earth. Also, the sun is now much hotter than before. These two can cause skin cancer as well a dehydration of the skin accelerating aging.

One of the causes of global warming is pollution. It is not only affecting the environment but also humans. Once we come into contact with the pollutants, we are at risk of contracting serious diseases. Also, once they get into the body, the pollutants contribute to the toxins which accelerate cell aging and death.
