How Aging Occurs

Advances in science have helped us know much more about our body. These advances have also helped us understand some of the reasons why we age. However, there is no consensus about one particular answer as to how aging occurs. Many believe that it is caused by many interacting factors. Some of which we can control ourselves and others which we cannot. This article will look one of the explanations about how aging occurs and some of the things you can do to slow or reverse this.

One of the reasons why we age is the accumulation of toxins and wastes which result in the accelerated aging and death of cells in the body. Wastes and toxins are as a result of external factors like pollutants and internal factors like the byproducts of bodily activities such as digestion.

The wastes and toxins need to be removed from the body. If they are not eliminated fast, you run the risk of a higher cell death rate than their replacement. As a result, you start to age fast. One main challenge to the effective removal of the toxin as and wastes from the body is the slow aging of your organs which are responsible for these processes.

You therefore need to take measures to ensure that there are little or no toxins and wastes found in your body. A simple way is to live in a clean environment and ensure that you eat foods rich in antioxidants. These are molecules responsible for the elimination of free radicals in the body. The free radicals cause the fast degradation of cells and their death.

In addition, a healthy diet will ensure that as few as possible toxins get into the body and therefore, your organs will not be overwhelmed. In short, to slow down aging, you will need to reduce the number of toxins and wastes which might find their way into the body as well as take measures to prevent toxins from coming into contact with the cells.
